Meditation for a Peaceful Mother

Mothers Meditations offer a heart centered guide for every mother and caregiver. As moms, we all understand the importance of releasing stress so that we can be present, clear and loving with our children and ourselves. This form of guided meditation brings nurturance and release while recharging your system. It leads you to your endless supply of inner resources. The meditations call you back to center, while opening your heart. This serves to create a delightfully rich inner connection while deepening the bond with your baby. With the help of this 20 minutes of "me time" every day, these precious years of having young children and babies can be cherished and enjoyed.

Lose the Baby Weight

Sometimes the baby weight comes right off and sometimes it hangs on. If you are a mother or caregiver struggling to lose weight, looking for a way to come to peace with your body and let go of extra weight at the same time, this meditation is a powerful approach.

Our bodies have a mind of their own. When we listen deeply enough to understand what our bodies need to come back to balance, change happens. The body has a reason for holding onto this extra tissue. When we finally understand the meaning of this challenge and fulfill the underlying need within it, there is no reason to manifest a symptom.. in this case, extra baby weight.

Queen of the Castle - Gaining respect from your children

I've heard many moms say, “He just doesn’t listen!” Or “How many times do I need to tell her before she’ll do as she’s asked?” This issue is mainly for toddlers and preschool children on up. Toddlers are finding their own will but do not yet respond to the complexity and order of language the way older children do. Toddlers simply follow their impulses and it is up to us to redirect them if necessary. However, all children regardless of age are able to feel/sense whether we are confident and clear and they respond to that by acting out or not. Children are sensitive to our inner states and respond by challenging us to be present, loving and clear when we are not. (There are also situations where they are responding to more than our inner states. This can be seen with physical issues like food allergies, candida overgrowth, rashes, and other childhood disease or genetic issues.)

Freedom from Anxiety and Fear

Anxiety is a state of fear of something painful occurring in the future. It trembles in our bellies, weakens our knees, clutches our throats and leaves a pit in our stomachs while  it’s cohort, worry, runs amuck in our heads. Not the most comfortable of feelings! As parents our children give us many things to worry about, especially if we are prone to anxiety.

Toddlers can put our minds in the frame of catastrophe waiting to happen a thousand times a day. One mother of a toddler once said to me, “I feel like I am saving his life 50 times a day.. taking sharp objects from his mouth, chasing after him as he runs toward a mean looking dog, spotting him on steep wooden stairs.. talk about pressure!” With young children we face our fears daily as we jump to action and offer our protection.
